America says “NO” to Amnesty for Illegals

June 7, 2007 · 9 Comments

In light of a ridiculous sentence to Scooter Libby, my faith in our Democracy gets a boost!  Just moments ago, documented by Michelle Malkin throughout the evening, the bill for granting special conditions and special amnesty to illegals was stomped out.

Bush needs to give us a real proposed bill with true conservative American interpretation.

He seems to do better with his second chances lately.

    Uhhh what? America? Seriously?

The house passed it with a large margin and the senate defeated it with a 45 to 55 margin. Which means even some Republicans defected and said yes.

The House didn’t fall under the scrutiny of America’s anger. When the House passed it, this was a product of lazy politicians wanting a quick fix – just so they can say they did something on it and move on from there.

Once it went to the Senate, the debates began. The news coverage began and appropriate terms like “shamnesty bill” were invented. Presidential candididates debated about it. It pissed off all Americans by in large. These illegals need to respect our land and pay back to fund the infrustructure they are taking for granted in the name of sending boat-loads of money back home to Mexico.

Yes some Republicans (which is why McCain can kiss the nomination goodbye) caved in and desired a quick fix as well. Look at the yay and nay vote yesterday and look at the R’s and D’s.

The President screwed up on this, as he screwed up with nominating Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court. He received scrutiny from his base and he gave us Alito (someone brilliant.) Now that this horrible bill is stomped out, maybe he can encourage a true bill that serves the best interest of the American people.

How Presidential candidates react to the new bill will indeed determine who will be in the White House.

Question, are Americans required to get biometric card(legal status employment verification card) for employment? will homeland security process them?

No, we’re already citizens. We haven’t immigrated here illegally. Unlike our ancestors who did immigrate here BUT LEGALLY. This country is not turning anyone way. Just tell them to do it like everyone else has to and nobody is above the laws that are on the books of this country.

Liberals seem to believe that in the case of GW Bush using his power to protect us but for some reason they don’t think of it when it comes to illegals.

I think this bill should be called the “No Illegal Alien Left Behind Act”

We have always cited greatest and most reckless appeasement was acted out in Munich prior to WWII. I’m afraid that this period of our history will be the greatest period of appeasement to the contra-legal community and indifference to our own laws. I think the United States of America has become afraid of itself.
It seems that we can’t even summon the support to amplify the land’s collective voice that citizenship is a primary element of American life.
This process need not be seen as ‘Draconian’.
Kevin has added to his homepage and appropriate harbinger:
There is sobbing of the strong, And a pall upon the land, But the People in their weeping, Bare the iron hand, Beware the People weeping, When they bare the iron hand

Oh, Yes! Remember this. Once the process get’s underway, and should citizenship be gained. The next benefit is “affirmative action.”
BTW: Do people of Arab, Persian, Turkic, etc. get affirmative action pri….oops…..consideration yet?
