Bush: “The Grinch Who Stole Fitzmas”

grinch.jpg

As predicted, this has been a wonderful day.  Of all the phrases used to describe Bush today, this one uttered by Rush was my favorite when he referred to Bush as the “Grinch Who Stole Fitzmas.”

There have been some pretty interesting comments made.  The fun ones of course coming from the screaming left in response to Bush prohibiting Scooter Libby from pointlessly spending three years in prison at our expense.

One interesting point I heard this morning made light of the fact that Bush is “so unpopular” that it does not even matter anymore if he tries to appease anybody.  I tend to agree.  Aside from the amnesty for illegals, it has been made abudantly clear by all Democrats that Bush will never make them happy.

The least he can do is turn to his base right now.  Overriding Libby’s prison sentence was a good start.  As Jennifer pointed out though, it’s not enough.

We know liberals are going to scream and kick.  We know they will lie.  We know they will cry.  What Bush doesn’t seem to know is: how much fun it is to watch them!  He has 1.5 years left as Commander-in-Chief.  I say he ignore all liberal hogwash, fight this war with real panache, veto as much as he can, and get the country in the best shape possible before the next administration comes in.

Much of us have accepted the liberal “scream factor” long ago.  Who cares what they think, right?

Bush should enjoy it as much as we do, brush it off, and get on with his job of serving true justice to true criminals, bombing the dickens out of terrorist camps in the Middle East, and apologize to us (his base) for trying to force amnesty for illegals on us.  Once he does that, he will have a true legacy that he will not be noted for until about ten years down the road.

We all know that the media has been deceptive at leading America to believe what they want them to in terms of where the popular opinion is.  Real Americans know the truth.  Bush should, too.
