This is precisely why the Live Earth concerts are a total joke. I cannot tell you how irritated I am with the whole issue. It’s all just a grab for power. It’s a grab for the very air we breathe. It’s a grab to raise taxes. Ugh. I don’t want my bar-b-ques taxed. I don’t want my big, diesel gussling truck taxed. I don’t want my energy consumption taxed. Ok. I’m going to step off this box before I say something ugly.

People like Robert Kennedy, Jr. continue to say the debate is over about global warming (mostly because he says it is) due to the fact that meteorologists have extensive results about global warming from for the last 25 years.
I have a few comments and questions:
If the meteorologists can look back and tell you the temperature 25 years ago, why are they fairly inaccurate in their predictions of the future?
Don’t they have a vested interest in continuing the debate? If the issue wasn’t around, they would be relegated to a desk just doing the weather. I think the experts who don’t agree with the “experts” that Robert Kennedy keeps quoting are the true heroes – they are doing it in their self-interest.
Finally, if we are in a crisis, what starting point are we trying to get back to? What is the norm and who determines the norm? The meteorologists? The government (God help us)? Robert Kennedy or Al Gore (when they can come down from their mountaintops)?
