They Really Really Like Me….

 gayconservativeaward.jpg

After I wrote my “Apologies to atheists” post last week, a nice and very smart fella by the name of Michael Krahn suggested that I look into Digital Journal to publish a few of my postings.

After receiving a lot of personal outside e-mails on my post about gay rights, I decided to combine that with my latest rant about Elizabeth Edwards using gay rights as a new issue (since attempting to roust Ann Coulter failed) to gain more popularity for her husband (who was happy to run along John Kerry 3.5 years ago who vocally opposed gay marriage).

In any case, I got a few reads on Digital Journal and received a mini-award this morning.  Nothing too big, but I am happy to share it with my best blogging-friends.

The article mentioning the weeks best submissions stated the following:

“Also worth noting was another Digital Journal rookie who made a splash with a thoroughly researched piece on the liberal view of gay rights. GayConservative takes home this week’s TopPolitics Award for letting his opinions fly in a post also steeped in facts. He proclaimed some bold statements, such as “All evidence proves that the goal of the Democratic party remains to keep blacks and gays in a sick-victim state to serve at their electoral pleasure.” Thought-provoking conclusion, GayConservative, and no matter where readers stand, they should realize it’s important to read a post that dives deep into an issue that will likely be at the forefront of the presidential debates in 2008.”

The First Post

I asked Steve what I should do with my first post on the site, but he wouldn’t help me out.  So, I figured I would start with a little intro.  I promise this won’t hurt, and I won’t make this too long.  After this, I start hammering on the issues.

First of all – thanks to Steve for the opportunity to post on this site.  We’ve talked about this for a long time.  Steve and I don’t agree on everything although we get there about 90% of the time.  We both have a mutual regard for the other, so it’s a great blog match.  I’m concerned with a lot of issues that he doesn’t cover, and he is a fan of issues that I usually don’t address.  So, hopefully, we now offer you a greater range of coverage when it comes to issues that conservatives care about.

What can you expect from me?  I love international issues and will take you to places like Sudan, Zimbabwe, the Middle East, Russia, Europe, etc.  I also tend to focus on very specific candidates and political races – I’m your go-to guy in an election year.  I’m versatile when it comes to the issues I cover, but, like everyone, I have my pet causes.

I’m not a neocon in the very strict definition of the term (as I was never a liberal), but I do have a bent there as well as towards the libertarian strain of the GOP.  It makes for an interesting mix and should provide for some very interesting blogs.  Of course, I always try to tailor my remarks to timely issues.  So, if there is a little overlap between Steve and myself – just enjoy.  You will get different perspectives on the same issue (what a bonus!).

Again, thanks to Steve, and thanks to all of those folks who have already welcomed me to the site.  Feel free to drop me an email anytime.  I plan to keep posting some on my own blog, but for now – gayconservative.org is my focus.  I believe that there is a lot that unites us as conservatives.  And two voices are greater than one.  Add to that the unique perspective of two gay conservative bloggers.  Steve and I have a common mission, and I am proud to share this space with him.

Welcome Philip to GayConservative.org!

A couple of years ago when I first started blogging, I received an e-mail from Philip who was simutaneously beginning his own website venture.  Since then, we have been regularly checking in with one another and have remained in touch.

Once he started writing on his website, I became addicted, and as our friendship progressed I have consistently been nagging at him to collaborate with me.  Philip has an amazing way of capturing many feelings with just one statement.

I am proud and excited that he has finally accepted the invitation and is making GayConservative.org his ranting home and I am 100% certain that all regular site visitors will feel the same once they begin reading.

I’m sure you will all do your best to make him feel welcomed!

This Great Blue State of Mine

Now I know for a fact, at least half of the gay men smoking it up in the Northside club-hopping area are indeed greatly responsible for electing nuts like Rod Blagojevich who finally catered to the big-goverment loving Democrats and signed a statewide smoking ban just a few days ago.  This new law trumps any local laws set up the gave exceptions for bar and restaurant owners.

Moving forward, just yesterday, the Democratic majority in the state of Illinois voted 6-3 to approve a statewide 75 cent increase on their cigarette tax making the total tax $1.73.

The new law will give the state $328 million estimated to pay for roads that we already pay tolls on to use.  They also boast that it could force some to quit smoking.

That’s the trade off I suppose, either “give us your money or give up your life.”

Indiana is really starting to look much better to me.

John Doe Amendment Will Survive!

Two American victories in one day!

1.) Ward Churchill fired!

2.) Congress upholds the John Doe Amendment that Democrats tried to stomp on last week.

It means that Democrats have two things to complain about in the next week and it also means that the infamous flying Imams can finally throw their bogus lawsuits out.

I’d also like to point out that Michelle Malkin was the only mainstream conservative who brought real attention to this last week which led many Americans to contact their Representatives to voice opposition to the Democrats’ attempt to stomp the Bill out!

To Liberals, 9/11 Victims Are Just as Dispensable as Cindy Sheehan

The funny blog, News Hounds wrote a whine-fest in response to Ward Churchill for finally getting his ass sacked and decided to draw a parallel between Ann Coulter and Ward Churchill.

Let me make the distinction for them — Ward Churchill actually INSULTED 9/11 victims as a whole.  Ann Coulter on the other hand spotlighted FOUR WOMEN from New Jersey who were using their husbands’ deaths to get rich and promote the same half-baked liberal ideology that someone like Churchill promotes.

News Hounds (We Watch Fox, So you Don’t Have To Because MSNBC is Boring), in their article draw the real parallel for what is acceptable to liberals.  You ready?  Whichever one is promoting their insane agenda is the one they are sticking up for.

Liberals once again make me sick to the point of upchuck with their phony compassion for the troops, for 9/11 widows, and for Cindy Sheehan.

It’s no secret that when Cindy Sheehan was running around as the anti-war spokesperson, the left gave up on reasoned debate immediately and latched onto Sheehan as their terrority (just like they claim possession of the blacks and the gays).  Once Sheehan started to hold Democrats responsible as well, suddenly the left-wing blogs wanted nothing to do with her, even going so far as calling her an “attention whore” and threatening to remove her from their blogs if indeed she chose to run against Nancy Pelosi.

Liberals really are stupid and inconsistent in times like this.  See, we Republicans have always been happy to call the Jersey Girls “harpies,”  we have always been happy to call Sheehan an “attention whore.”  Our positions have never changed unlike those of the Democrats that shift weekly based upon who the victim is and what political position of the left’s can be supported by exploiting their pain.  It’s sick, like making a deal with Satan.

When Coulter factually points out how four women from New Jersey are harpies, liberals are outraged, not because they care about the Jersey Girls, but because Coulter just happens to be on the right side of the political debate.  When Churchill actually insults ALL 9/11 victims and blames 9/11 on his own country, it’s free speech and supported by the Constitution.

Laughable to say the least.  Churchill was fired because he was uninspiring, a plagiarist, a phony, and another “attention whore” used by the left long enough to promote their idiocy.

Comparing this burnout to someone as intelligent as Ann Coulter is hilarious in and of itself.  But what’s even funnier is how apparent it is that Churchill and his attorney have now sold their souls to the left.

My advice to him based on what happened to Cindy Sheehan: NEVER TURN ON THEM, WARD.

My Apologies to the Atheists…

Wow, I thought this one was put to bed.

This all started just a couple of weeks ago when I posted a humorous reply that Ann Coulter had to Christopher Hitchens.  It was not a debate of science, it wasn’t even a serious opposition to the overall theory of atheism.  Yes, we all know that Ann Coulter is a believer and does not agree with Darwinism (along with 76% of the country by the way).

For some reason, that very general comment drew the fire of a lot of non-believers which is perfectly fine with me.  I am not an enemy of discussion (otherwise I wouldn’t be here.)

In response to those comments and discussion, I posted a second video which featured Bill O’Reilly debating Richard Dawkins.  In this video, I proved that even Dawkins (the Atheists’ God) himself cannot prove that it all started without the force of a Creator.  When O’Reilly asked him where his proof was, he stated “We’re working on it.”

So, basically we have two men.  We have Jesus Christ and we have Richard Dawkins.  Jesus Christ professed a belief in God used that belief to stop a prostitute from being stoned to death, probably the only thing that liberals and the ACLU would have endorsed on His behalf.

I then posted different perspectives from very different sources.  I also showed how scientists all over the place disagree with one another on the various theories that have been concocted all on the basis that God “probably does not” exist.

While Darwinism has proven itself a totally flawed theory, my argument has always remained the same which is: why should our tax dollars support the theory being taught in public classrooms?

We had some atheists hell-bent on making Christians direct enemies of science.  After I pointed that out, another atheist stated the contrary, and finally in this post, I am accused of censoring comments and believing that biology is NOT a natural science.

There is not one quote from me that suggests that.  This is just another pathetic attempt for atheists to make science an enemy of religion.

So here we go one more.

1.) Darwinism is a byproduct of Evolution.  Christians and believers do not discount Evolution altogether.  What they denounce is the idea that we all share a worm.

2.) Darwinism and the crack-pot theories of someone like Richard Dawkins are not true bonafide science in the sense that it is linked to real science like Biology or Natural Sciences!

3.) Dawkins admits that he does not know and claims to be “working on it.”  So, we are just supposed to believe in the meantime and err on the side of idiocy that says it all “just happened” — that everything in the galaxy occured without the design of a magnificient being.

4.) 76% of this country agrees with me — if you are an atheist and you are reading this, I am not interested in convincing you!  You are the frustrated one because you are the one unable to provide the proof that backs up your idotic assertions (while shamefully using the good name of science to promote that same idiocy.)  I’m not here to convince you, and you guys have a lot of work to do if you want to change the mind of 228 million Americans.  Good luck.

5.) I do not delete comments.  I did; however, in the beginning (you know the Creationist in me) select an automatic setting that automatically blocks postings that contain more than two links as it usually indicates spam.  I don’t want my readers clicking on something and getting a virus.  But no comments were intentionally deleted.

Now for the love of “God” (literally), quit crying like big sissies everytime someone exposes your extremism.  You have the choice to change that by respecting others’ rights to believe and keeping out of our pockets to promote your phony science.

Song of the Week – Love it!

Maroon 5′s “Makes Me Wonder”

Have you guys been hearing this tune on your radio the last couple of weeks as I have?

Very rare that a song from these days catches my ear like this.  Catchy is this song’s middle name!  Check with me in a couple of weeks though and I’ll probably be sick of it.

Airports Warned Again (Can we profile now?)

It’s all over the news tonight that airport security all over the country is being warned to keep an eye out for “terror dry runs.”

The articles mention various situations in the last year and some find certain correlation factors between these instances and pre-9/11 tests performed.

Does this mean we all will be inconvenienced and harrassed again by airport security?

Various liberals make the point that while we all are suspicious of middle-eastern men standing in line at the airport security lines, we must not engage in discriminatory pro-filing and we must limit the searches to a certain number of Arabs per flight.

Since we all admit to racial profiling at airports personally, then why the hell would we not allow the police, security officers, and the ones properly trained in these areas to do so?

It seems that the only thing liberals are afraid of is making it official.  This is of course one of the many things they advocate that makes absolutely no sense to me.

Moreover; this news directly contradicts Congressional Democrats who just struck down the John Doe amendment.

Duncan Hunter on Ann Coulter

It’s a shame conservatives really have not paid more attention to this guy and I have to hand it to Ann Coulter because she has always endorsed Hunter regardless of how unpopular he was compared to headliners like Giuliani or Thompson.

Idealogically, for conservatives this would have probably been the best shot.  Perhaps Thompson can look his way for Vice-President at least.

He makes a funny joke at the end of this short clip and comments on the hoopla between Elizabeth Edwards and Coulter a few weeks ago.
