Kos: Fox News vs. “Hundreds of Thousands of Voices”

In a usual display of liberal-whining and Fox News-bashing, Kos uttered the following line when his site’s insanity factor was questioned by Harold Ford:

“It’s called Democracy, if you don’t like regular people…”

On Meet The Press, Kos showed his true-blue colors by complaining to Harold Ford about his appearances on Fox News.  He then labeled Ford’s recent comments on Harry Reid as an “attack.”

Ford then directed some of the attention to the insane things put out on Kos’s website and Kos then decided to start throwing in the old Democracy (the kind that they love when they denounce their country and root for U.S. troop failure in Iraq, but the kind they hate on Fox News) canard.

Since Kos has so much respect for the voices of “hundreds of thousands,” then how about the “millions” that did the following:

– “millions” watch Fox News and continue to keep Hannity & Colmes and O’Reilly Factor number one among top-rated cable TV shows.

– “millions” voted in the last two national elections for George W. Bush.

– “millions” of Iraqis showed up in three elections to show their true desire for the same “Democracy” that Kos allegedly celebrates.

– “millions” of Americans want Roe v Wade overturned.

– “millions” of Americans buy books by Ann Coulter.

“millions” of Americans buy books by Michelle Malkin and read her blog weekly.

I think you get the point and I could go on and on.  If Democracy is such an important issue to Democrats (as it is not) then Kos wouldn’t have to keep complaining about Fox News and liberals would have a new-found respect for Rush Limbaugh!

“Democracy” for the Kos apparently means a club of hand-picked, finely-selected collections of nuts that want to hold hands and sing “Give Peace a Chance” with Muslim fanatics while they have bombs strapped to their chests.

Apparently, Meet The Press is no longer the serious forum for discussion anymore, and perhaps this explains why the real Democracy of America continues to float toward Malkin, Coulter, Fox News, and conservative talk-radio.

Does he really think Hillary is going to show up to his “convention” again after she wins the Democratic nomination?  Won’t she be too busy appealing to the moderate Christians, then?

Good luck with next year’s convention, Kos.

  1. daredevil92103,

ah, i don’t like fox news that much, it just seems like…. i dunno, i saw how hannity was toward ron paul, and they seem to not listen very well to what the other side has to say. well, i don’t like extreme liberals for the same reason, though. i actually e-mailed hannity and asked, begged him to debate me on an issue, and i wasn’t going to be my humble self. i wasn’t going to attack his character, i was just going to show him, with references, foot-notes, etc. my points. he didn’t take me up on it. probably because i’m a moon-bat.

  2. Sigh.

He’s showing the true Liberal attitude- we know how to do things better than you do (read, better than the average american). And I’m sure he only thinks Hilary is so great because she’s a communist in Democrat’s Clothes.

  3. daredevil92103,

the only candidate i would vote for, if i could, would be Ron Paul.

  4. airforcewife,

shhhhhh, big secret here… I’m a registered Democrat. In California, no less! AHHHHHH! RUN!

The party that I put on my voter registration, though, is far different from the party I see now. I actually saw a quote about a book from a prof who was a big supporter of Dem causes that said, “All those people who don’t [agree with my side] should have to go to re-education camps and read this book.”

WHAT? Kim Il much? Stalin anyone? But that is what I see quite often, an attitude of, “You must agree with me. I’m right, and you have to agree with me,” rather than a willingness to discuss the merits of an issue.

And then there’s the rush to victimhood. If I hear one more freaking time about people being “denied their freedom of speech” because I don’t want to buy their albums, watch their movies, or allow their comments on my site… Have they never read the constitution and the Bill of Rights?

A lot of people seem to think, now, that democracy means the same thing that “nonconformity” means in San Francisco. You know, as long as you are stinky, have hairy armpits, wear Che shirts, smoke weed, and rail against “the man” (because I know you like that quote!) your opinion counts. If not, you must be re-educated into the party line.

  5. daredevil92103,

hey! what you got against che shirts??? :)

  6. Devil Dog,

Well, some people don’t think that Hillary would be good for their party.

No, it’s not the Reps, it is the Dems!

  7. Devil Dog,

DareDevil, I think that Fox News is the only media that gives a fair representation of both sides. The reason CNN and MSNBC get away with their bias is because the people that watch both networks are already liberal. When they see challenges to their liberal view, they freak and then automatically go after what they don’t like to hear.

    Bravo for Fox News.

I would think the Dems would like to hear BOTH sides of the stories.

  8. daredevil92103,

devil dog, hannity totally slammed ron paul, and wouldn’t even give him a chance to explain his side of anything. he even slammed the callers that tried to explain ron pauls comment on the 9/11 issue. if fox news was fair, then they would hear both sides of the story right? and actually, every one i’ve heard on fox news slammed ron paul. i don’t watch news that much, but my buddy says the same thing you do about fox, so i gave it a shot a few times. now i can’t say they are like that about everything, because i don’t watch it that much, but the few times i’ve seen it they have been very one-sided.

  9. daredevil92103,

what you describe CNN and MSNBC viewers doing is what you are doing. i think all the media sources are catering to their sponsors. but i’ll give you an example from life. President Bush came and spoke literally right beside my apartment, a year or two ago. there were protesters with mega-phones trying to yell over him while he spoke. although i disagree with bush, i thought the protesters were idiots, because even if you dont agree with someone, you should have enough respect to hear what they say, and not shout over them, or childish things like that. FOX news acts like those childish protesters, in my opinion. now you might say fox news is the only one that tells the truth, in your opinion, but to say it is fair is going a bit too far, that would be like me saying those protesters were being fair, and they weren’t.

  10. airforcewife,

Um, you’re using an opinion based show like Hannity and Colmes to complain about FOX not being fair? They have a liberal, they have a conservative. The show is predicated around the idea that people want to watch differing political views at each other’s throats. It’s like an intellectual WWE, complete with mental steroids.

News shows are an entirely different matter than opinion shows.

  11. daredevil92103,

good point. didn’t think about that. ok, i’ll watch some fox news stuff, and see. maybe they are the most fair and balanced.

  12. Shawmut,

Kos might wake up to the fact that he’s not running the Commintern. Reminds me of stories when Stalin would recall independent minded card carriers. Most died of natural causes or went on retreats to colder environs.
It may just be that Ford is not only a bit independent, but he’s a bit more fiscally conservative than the flock.

  13. Philip,

The video goes a good job of establishing how duplicitous Kos really is. You come away with several mixed impressions from that video. The most revealing was Kos’ hesitation when asked to explain his previous statements about Hillary. He seemed to really hesitant to stick to his guns. He almost backed away and softened his views.

Just as I noted in my earlier blog about MoveOn, I really feel like the Dems have started to co-opt some of the fringe elements. Or it may well be the other way around. I’ve always tended to believe that the Dem leadership is kowtowing to these moonbats, but I think there maybe something working the other way.

Does that mean that the leftist fringe is starting to become moderated, or are the Dems trying to make them appear more moderate by coordinating and mixing messages? It’s really interesting to watch the underlying political evolution at work here.

Kos’ statements concerning Hillary on Meet The Press seem to indicate his acceptance of the inevitability that she will be the Dem candidate in 2008. Maybe he’s just trying to butter his bread on the right side in case that happens. Or maybe he’s just too much of a coward to say what he really thinks on national TV. I wouldn’t discount that possibility out of hand either.

  14. Devil Dog,

I love Marcos! Keep up the good work!

YOU ARE INSURING MY REPUBLICAN PARTY A VICTORY IN 2008!

Keep up the division within the Democrat Party.

Harold Ford, Jr. is at least the version of a somewhat moderate Democrat, whereas Marcos represents only those radical Democrats.

    Good job, Marcos!

  15. Devil Dog,

DareDevil said: “now you might say fox news is the only one that tells the truth, in your opinion, but to say it is fair is going a bit too far, that would be like me saying those protesters were being fair, and they weren’t.”

I never once in my post said that Fox News is the “only one that tells the TRUTH”. I said that Fox News is the only one “that gives a fair representation of both sides”.

Why is Fox News kicking the ass of all the three major cable news networks. I think that it is because people were brought up on the notion that if CNN and MSNBC say it, it must be true.

Along comes Fox News, which has lively debate, and it is FAIR and BALANCED.

Anyone ever watch the show Bill Maher has on HBO? He has even admitted that there is an imbalance of liberals favored over conservatives on his show because conservatives can stand their own ground. He is a devout liberal.

Please check out the formats of any of the antenna media and the cable networks and compare them to the format of Fox News. Then you’ll understand why people flock to Fox News instead of the dinosaur media.

  16. daredevil92103,

i still haven’t checked them out yet, so till i do, i will take your word for it. usually i don’t watch tv, and all media really tries to please it’s sponsors. but a fair view would be the lesser of two evils.
