Which old witch? No, not Hillary. And not a literal death. I’m speaking of a political fade-away. Louisiana Governor, Kathleen Blanco who, along with New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, presided over the disastrous response to Hurricane Katrina – is a mere memory. In her place is newly-elected Republican Governor, Bobby Jindal (a now-former US Rep.)
Good luck to Governor Jindal in cleaning up Blanco’s mess. It’s going to be a thankless job. The man’s got to be a saint.

I could watch Jindal speak all day. Not because of what he says or what he believes, but because even after watching his career for a while now, I never expect to hear that Southern accent when he speaks!
He’s a fairly good looking guy, too. So, on a superficial level I’m glad they’re getting some more attractive people in government. We seem to have an awful lot of people that I wouldn’t want to look at if I had a choice.
I guess that’s why they call politics “Hollywood for ugly people.”
Hmmm, Jindal is of Indian descent.
Those damn racists in the South.
I hope this election puts that racism crap to death.
See, the libs still like to make the South look like it used to be one hundred years ago.
(The following statement is sarcasm – for the sake of disclosure):
I think Hillary, for the good of race relations, should concede her candidacy in favor of Barack Obama – it’s the right thing to do!
