“Hillary’s House Of Horrors”

Suddenly, Mitt Romney is appealing to me as he describes what he calls “Hillary’s House of Horrors.”

“You go in one room, she wants to raise your taxes. You go in another room and she wants to have government taking over health care,” Romney said Saturday to laughter and applause. “You go in the next room and she’s weakened homeland security by voting against the authority of our government to listen in to al-Qaida’s calls.”

Well said, Mitt.

  1. Yeah, but Mitt will say whatever the screenwriters — I mean, speech writers — put in front of him. He’s the John Edwards of the Republican Party. My opinion.

  2. Norm,

    Mike in Sedona
Mitt has never said raise my taxes

  3. I say this,

Mitt has remained consistent on more things than most, but his switch on abortion has received such wide coverage that he has unfairly been labeled a flip flopper. I’d rather someone gather more information, grow, learn and then change their opinion rather than remaining consistently wrong — like Hillary Clinton.

Like Ann Coulter said, I don’t know why all gays are not conservatives. They want a strong defense, low taxes, protection of human life etc just like the rest of us. Mostly, conservatives just want to be left alone = freedom. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, NOT big government involvement.

  4. Wow that was a great summation. I do like Mitt. And in terms of a credit history (so to speak) Duncan Hunter still holds nearest and dearest to me.

I was having a debate with a friend recently about why this war puts social issues aside for conservatives and if Rudy gets the nomination, of course I’d vote for him.

But Mitt seems like an all-around good fella. Guess we’ll find out after Jan. 3rd.

  5. Romney has gone out of his way to gain favor with the masses by stating over and over, in his best rehearsed voice, that homosexuality is unnatural, and that he does not support gays in ANY manner, and that he wants to, in fact, “stop” the gay ajenda, whatever that means. Though I know that he does not personaly believe this, it sickens me that a popular candidate would bully on gays for votes. The time to give politicians a “pass” on gay issues and call it “respecting their religion” is over. Face it, friends, a politician who will call you unnatural because that’s what the public wants to hear, a politician who will encourage the public to consider you unfit for marriage or parenthood, thereby encouraging the public to view you as less than fully human, would march you to the ovens if the polls determined thats what the majority want. I know I sound like a screaming lib. on the Romney thing, but his determination to convince America how anti-gay he has become truly turns my stomach.
