A Look At New Hampshire

Here is the RCP (RealClearPolitics) composite of New Hamphire polls for the GOP race.  I find it stunning that John McCain has a 10 point lead over Mitt Romney.  I may not be McCain’s #1 fan, but his resurgence has been incredible.

  1. Just watched the NH Republican debates. It crossed my mind that I’d be thrilled to know, work with, or work for any of these men. Sure, they aren’t all my “first choice,” but Republicans are lucky to have all of these men on our team. A good field of candidates. I didn’t even mind Romney or Huckabee too much this time around.

  2. I’m not at all surprised at the NH gain for McCain. The voters of NH know that Romney used them as he used Massachusetts. That’s what he is; a user. The perfect hairdo disguises a tremendously flawed character. He nearly paved the highways of Massachusetts with Republicans (who supported him) that he threw under his bus. If he lasts until March 2nd, I see him losing Massachusetts.
Ironically, I think McCain’s fallability and vulnerabillity have made him more appealing. His steadfastness identifies him with many people who are just getting along, but are not likely to quit.
