One burst two houses down from me a week or so ago (the house is a foreclosure – also, we live in a townhouse) and no one noticed until a literal river froze coming out of the backyard. My next door neighbor, whose house touches that one, lived in fear his sump pump was going to bust during the crisis.

Busted pipes – AFW’s second biggest nightmare.

My power bill is anywhere from $15 to $17 per month every month.

It’s not as good as it seems. The gas is included in the rent. I can’t stand it at 65 degrees. I keep it at 75.

You see, I’m from California. I get cold.

I also have to pay my own heating bills, though, so that thermostat stays at 65 in the winter.
