I’ll blog about him some other time, but the short of it is he was put in prison for the rest of his life by the British government for protecting himself by shooting the two intruders who were breaking into his home–for the third time.

Gun violence in England is up 40% from before they enacted an across-the-board gun ban. The bad guys have all the guns and Bobbies (foot patrol police officers), who never had to carry guns before, have to carry them now.

Is that what we want in America?

If a man comes home and finds his wife in bed with another man, then he may not be able to shoot them both dead in a passion of anger and rage. So, more restrictive gun bans probably will stop that sort of violence. The trouble is, such violence is rare.

Criminals wether gang affiliated or not won’t pay any attention to a gun ban. The only reason I don’t drive a few miles down the road and buy an illegal hand gun on the streets is my moral code does not allow me to do that. Since the police around here can’t stop such things now, just how will that happen when we have a gun ban? That’s easy, such things won’t happen.
