I wonder if this is the same military that some liberals are claiming believe they shouldn’t be there.
Silly me. I totally forgot about the media’s obsession with Rosie O’Donnell leaving “The View.” So I suppose we won’t be hearing about the report released that proclaims that Bush was warned about the troubles we would face in Iraq (discussed in the previous post.)
Though I’ve been at work all day, Fox talk radio as well as CNN and MSNBC have been droning on about how Elisabeth Hasselbeck finally stood up to the big bullying lesbian (self-proclaimed).
I am growing tired of this story but if it really is true that Rosie finally left because of Hasselbeck’s debate with her last week, I’d be curious to know what would have happened to the duration of Rosie’s tenure if it had been Ann Coulter sitting across from her.
I’m guessing about two weeks.
Obviously, Rosie is nowhere near the brain that Coulter is. However; I have to admit that I’ve always wanted blather-engines like O’Donnell or even Michael Moore to have to face Annie.
Wanna put money on it? All day tomorrow, we will be hearing about this new “report” released that swears the Bush administration was “warned” about the trouble of going into Iraq.
- “Intelligence analysts predicted, in secret papers circulated within the government before the invasion, that al-Qaida would see U.S. military action as an opportunity to increase its operations and that Iran would try to shape a post-Saddam Iraq.”
- “The top analysts in government also said that establishing a stable democracy in Iraq would be a “long, difficult and probably turbulent process.””
- “Democrats said the newly declassified documents, part of a Senate Intelligence Committee investigation released Friday, make clear that the Bush administration was warned about the very challenges it now faces as it tries to stabilize Iraq.”
- “”Sadly, the administration’s refusal to heed these dire warnings — and worse, to plan for them — has led to tragic consequences for which our nation is paying a terrible price,” said Senate Intelligence Chairman Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va.”
So, I guess it’s safe to say that taxpayers paid to fund “analysts” to tell us that fighting a war would be difficult. Who could imagine? I wonder how many analysts were paid with Americans’ tax dollars to predict losing 300,000 Americans during WW2.
I guess it’s safe to assume now that liberals and the MSM believe that keeping Saddam in power would have indeed been the optimum condition.
I guess it’s safe to say that Jay Rockefeller would have done nothing in response to Saddam’s threats to the United Nations after 9/11. I think it’s also fair to assume that no Democrat would fight any war for the off-chance that the enemy might shoot back.
What a stupid waste of time! Since when do we need analysts and committees to tell us that introducing an entire new way of life to a nation of people accustomed to cowering in corners while refraining from speaking out against their government for fear of being fed through wood chippers (Saddam had a peaceful way of maintaining civility) would be difficult and challenging?
Thanks God the Nazis weren’t difficult and challening, eh?
I absolutely love when Democrats get all “serious” as Alan Colmes did with Ann Coulter when she started laughing at his and Jane Flemings’ assertion that 76% of Americans are against the war. France, Canada, Australia, England are all prime examples of how liberal the rest of the world is! While the America-hating left goes around spouting their phony concerns about the rest of the world hating us (trust me nobody could hate America as much as liberals do), they seem to keep forgetting that the rest of the world are electing conservative leaders!
Now, after the Democrats (the same Democrats that gained control of both houses almost a half-year ago) have sold out their lunatic-base, we can point out that apparently these stupid-phony polls that nutball liberals like Rosie O’Donnell keep yapping about are INACCURATE. Democrats’ votes in the House and Senate, and ACTUAL elections all over the world are what we like to call true and OBJECTIVE evidence of the nation’s AND world’s opinion on security and conservatism.
Say, can we get Hillary and Obama to make statements this week condemning the same bill that the Democrats passed this week? That may be too much to ask, I suppose.
Just looking at how unhappy Jane Fleming and Alan Colmes look is good enough for me. They sound like such sore-losers when Coulter consistently giggles throughout the debate.
There was Billy Joe Spears! This is great, my mother used to play this when I was a youngster – AND she sang it quite well.
I come from a very country-loving family. Hope y’all enjoy now ;-).
This is a great column and once again, Ann pours out an overwhelming bucket of facts in this one. So many facts that even liberals and and members of activist gay organizations have backed away from comment. This is indeed an accurate description of Falwell and and accurate description of the deceptions of the MSM.
I’ve gotten some e-mails regarding not being able to post comments on my current blog. This is because I am currently in a transition of many aspects of the blog. I miss everyone and am anxious to get back in touch with you all.
Thanks for your patience.
