Say It With Passion

Even if it’s a lie, folks…say it with gusto, with pride, and with the kind of passion that makes people wonder if they should applaud. Take a listen…it’s less than a minute:

This little rant of his pissed me off on a level that few can. It actually made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. You wish harm upon me, Mr. Biden? Lemme tell you about my experience. My experience is that my gun once saved my life. I was getting money out of an ATM machine when a kid pulled a knife on me (and I’m damn lucky that was all he had). He demanded my wallet. I faked like I was reaching for it and, instead, pulled my Ruger P94. I had it loaded with hollow-point ammunition. In one smooth and very well-practiced movement, I unholstered my concealed weapon, gave the slide a good yank, and brought it level with the bridge of this kid’s nose.

I thank God that I didn’t have to fire a shot. The kid pissed his pants and ran away. He was probably what we in juvenile corrections call a “little mafioso”, a guy who wants to be a badass so he pretends that he is one and hopes that nobody calls his bluff. I promise that after that experience, he did one of two things: he either got his act together and was scared enough never to try to rob another Arizonan again, or he went in the opposite direction and made damn sure that he had better firepower next time. Since he was never caught, I have no idea which it was. I can only hope it was the former.

Let’s talk about something else I have experienced. I’ve sat with actual rape victims and their loved ones and had to explain the process. I’ve told them how difficult it will be to prosecute their attacker. I’ve watched them cry and felt helpless to comfort them because their bodies are living crime scenes and any hugging, touching, kissing, ANYTHING can legally contaminate the evidence – and a defense attorney will have a field day with it. I’ve been there with those victims and I would love to hear you repeat what you had to say in that “speech” to them. Watch their reactions. Regardless of political affiliation, they’d all be mortified.

You know what pissed me off even more? Jason Mattera, speaking for Human Events, asked Mr. Biden if he regretted using such a crass, inconsiderate reference. Here’s his response:

Sir, if you are trying to see to it that you and your running mate get voted out of office next year, you’re doing a fantastic job. The question now is whether your constituents realize just how crude and condescending you and your aide are really being.

I cannot believe he had the unmitigated gall to say the things he said, particularly in the context in which he said them. He was pushing the president’s new JOBS BILL! I kid you not, folks, Bozo the Veep was going off the passionate deep end over jobs. Personal stories aside, that jobs bill isn’t going to be able to do what he cries for. As Ed Morrissey points out, this jobs bill – even if it does save a few police/fire/EMS jobs – isn’t going to help stop a rape or a holdup. How is a woman going to call 911 to report a man is trying to rape her if he’s disabled her phone? How is a store clerk going to get police there in time to stop a robbery in progress if the robber who has a gun pointed hat him is telling him to keep his hands up? The fact is that, in situations like these, 911 doesn’t get dialed until either the bad guy is gone and the victim is freed, or the victim is ultimately found dead by a loved one. Police don’t get to actively stop these kinds of violent crimes, and if you talk to them you’ll hear their frustration about that sort of thing. In the past four years, not once have I ever talked to a victim who credited the police with stopping the crime as it happened.

It is less than merely cheap to use this kind of reference when pushing a jobs bill, Joe. It’s less than low. It is a deliberate lie, one crafted to appeal to unchecked emotion – the same kind that has ruined many a nation with its inability to see past immediate human desire. You should be ashamed of yourself. You owe every conservative and every crime victim an apology.

Endnote: anybody notice his aide’s reaction? That irritated question, “who are you with?” that might as well have been, “I can’t believe anybody let you in here, and we’ll make damn sure you don’t get in again because only the reporters who ask proper questions are ever allowed to take up his time!” You never heard Bush get this snarky with reporters. Sure, his aides planted one in the press pool to ask softball questions, but he never once told any reporter what they should and should not say – nor did he try to kick a reporter out for asking him tough questions. I remember thinking Bill Clinton was frightening. He was the Easter Bunny in comparison.

Does anyone think the MSM is going to have questions about his comments or his outburst with Jason Mattera? I ain’t holdin’ my breath.

(Tip of the black cowboy hat to Jennifer Leslie, fellow Texan and leader of Smart Girl Politics in Tucson, for giving me the heads-up on Mattera’s smackdown.)

Hopeful Thinking

So what do you think about Biden’s remarks?

Vice President Joe Biden, rallying the home team as his party’s most energetic cheerleader, predicted Friday that Democrats would hold their majorities in the House and Senate this fall. Biden’s bold punditry came amid a spate of bad economic news and President Obama’s declining approval rating.

Speaking to the Democratic National Committee’s summer meeting in St. Louis, the vice president mocked the rival “Republican tea party,” which he said is “offering more of the past, but on steroids.” If “it weren’t illegal,” he said, ” I’d make book” on the odds of Democrats hanging on in the midterm elections this November……

Next Nov. 3, Biden predicted “there will be in Washington, D.C., a Democratic majority in the House and a Democratic majority in the Senate. That will be the case.” The anger of voters is understandable given the high joblessness and weak economic recovery, he said. But the vice president said he likes the odds when the choice is between Democrats and a “Republican tea party… out of step with where the American people are.”

I guess the question is……who is more out of step?  I really thought that the Democrats and the Obama administration were more “out of touch” with the American populace, but evidently, the Democrats are trying to make this into a Tea Party thing.  The Tea Party folks are obviously extremist (as Biden et al would claim) despite the fact that they are a multi-racial, independent group of folks just tired of Washington BS.

Biden’s remarks are just one of many declaring war on average Americans who are fed up with Washington types, defict spending and runaway federal government.  The Tea Party isn’t Republican.  It represents the first time in many years that ordinary Americans have asserted themselves against the ridiculous crap going on in DC.  Biden and his liberal ilk are making a serious mistake by alienating these people.  But I always love it when ole Joe opens his yap.  It’s better for us.

‘What about the Bush Administration?’

Do liberals really believe they have a complete pass from answering any questions or factually answering any allegations of corruption against their beloved President by saying ‘What about the Bush Administration?’ or ‘the last eight years….’?

I have such a new love and respect for Michelle Malkin.  This girl can fight!  And while she doesn’t make the hosts jump out of their skin and leap with vocal rage like Ann Coulter has with both Matt Lauer and Barbara Walters, she does a darn good job.

In both of these videos, Malkin discusses corruption and cronyism and with Joy Behar gets the ‘What about the Bush Administration?’ line.

I’d like to point out that all conservatives were angry about Mike Brown and Harriet Miers and actually fought against Bush for appointing them.

Simply because these folks existed though does not excuse the true corruption hanging around the White House these days.

Be prepared as the veil continues to be pulled off.  Now it’s time for every alleged act of corruption out of the Bush administration to make a comeback.

Valerie Plame, call your agent!  Maybe you can get that book published, after all.

Presidential “Race” Cards: Rush is onto something

[polldaddy poll=1028479]

What’s better than a 50% African-American running on behalf of socialist liberals who don’t like to work? How about a 100% African-American like Condoleezza Rice who; while Barack was “experiencing racism” from his grandmother who happened to be the sole bread winner (whom he’s flying to visit in Hawaii), actually witnessed good friends killed in Birmingham during the riots.

But somehow, Condi turned out to be an Uncle Tom who managed to escape writing books on racism to advance herself politically. Nah, Condi did it the “Uncle Tom” way by graduating college at age 19 and earning her doctorate at age 24 and becoming the youngest African-American AND woman to control the educational department and budget at Stanford and served as a distinguished political science

My sweet moonbat-buddy Robert continues to leave comments on my page, so I have decided to answer the last one directly.

Yes, this campaign is about “race.” White liberals who are under-achievers and spend their time blaming the rest of society for their troubles, lack of personal responsibility, liberal spending in their own lives, and academic failures, are campaigning on this more than blacks are in the public eye.

The fact is the Democratic Party has had many chances to appoint African-Americans to high positions, but coming out of their Klan clubs, it took the darlings a while to warm up. Then when they finally did warm up, they decided that blacks had to pass litmus tests before they would help them out.

Conventionally, for liberals, the more death statistics fly up among black males in the inner cities, the better their pro-socialist arguments can go. The more black mothers are on welfare, the more they can argue pro-taking away from hard-working Americans to “spread the wealth around.

They love it. And of course, with no work ethics whatsoever, can we really blame them?

People like Robert and the blacks in the inner cities killing one another in gangs oppose removal of gun bans so that decent Americans are prohibited from defending themselves. People like Robert are willing to sell their countries and its ideals out for a one-time handout that basically keeps him and his peeps poor and out in the cold (but for that one-time annual welfare check he is to receive) while opportunists like Barack Obama stay powerful and wealthy, not to mention the Clintons, Howard Dean, and Barney Frank.

People like Robert mean one thing to Barack Obama. A vote.

When Rush Limbaugh factually points out that this is about race among African-Americans, liberals suddenly trade in their Klan hoods for equality swords.

Any real American (white or black) knows that the only reason Barack Obama was nominated as President is because liberals like Robert love the fact that he promotes more socialism than Hillary did, promotes sex-ed to kindergarteners, promotes infanticide, and whose middle name is “Hussein.

The last time liberals selected a black man for a position of high power was Thurgood Marshall, who held radical liberal views much like Obama where he joined the Warren court and assisted in laws that eventually released hardened criminals back to society, legislated Roe V Wade which eventually led to partial-birth abortion and finally, Barack’s support of infanticide.

Barack Obama voted against a Bill in Illinois that would protect the life of a baby born that had survived an abortion.

These two men were not appointed by liberals because they are “black,” they are appointed because they were/are insane!

(Robert originally endorsed Dennis Kucinich whom makes Barack look like a moderate).

A poll released last week by the Military Times reveals that of almost 5,000 active and enlisted military members, almost 70% support John McCain for president.

White non-Hispanics support McCain by 76% to Obama 17%.

Hispanic or Latino support McCain by 63% to Obama 27%.

Blacks support OBAMA 79% to McCain 12%.

Not about race, huh?

http://www. militarytimes. com/static/projects/pages/081003_ep_2pp. pdf

Let’s also observe the fact that the serving military right now supports John McCain and his policies. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t support him.

Two years ago, liberals were telling us that the military hated Bush and they’d be all for allowing only the military to vote in 2008.
Wonder if they’d say that now?

Apparently, Obama will really have it in for them now.

Hey, another reason for liberals to love him!

What Robert doesn’t understand though is that hard-workers like myself and others that I “pal around with” will survive even the most crazy liberal economic policy because we have what it takes. Who is really going to suffer though are the ones like Robert who are relying on Barack’s economic promises the most.

Apparently Robert needs his empty promises.

I do not.

The “Broken Pipe” of Socialism

If we have to go down this November, and it is still pretty close in the polls, we have to do it screaming the obvious so that in four years when we come back, we can scream even louder “I told you so!”

The fact is; fellow conservatives, the bailout deal was anything but conservative.  The fact is, our own President endorsed it and our own Presidential Candidate went along with it.

The only dissenter, or the one who took the position of normal Americans was Sarah Palin in the VP debate when she said that Americans on Main Street needed to take responsibility for their actions.

The video I posted above is the great Ann Coulter with Neil Cavuto.  They discuss the problems of sub-prime mortgages and liberalism’s hand in this.

The mess in and of itself is not at all the fault of Republicans.  It’s a result of liberalism.

I feel sold out by McCain and Bush for coming in and approving this to give banks their way who are saying they aren’t loaning money to anyone unless the government comes through and hands them this money.  That’s sick.

The current crisis represents a leaking ceiling that required a patch.  Sadly, that patch cost us $700 billion.  But, the ceiling which holds the broken pipe of socialism will not only leak again eventually, but will finally out-and-out burst.  How much will that cost that?

Obama is adding one trillion dollars in spending virtually ripping the ceiling off altogether.

Just as Bush was magnificent at doing with foreign policy, the economic crisis required a long-term response to the broken pipe.  And while Democrats wouldn’t see the immediate results right away, we could easily be on the proper track of repair if we took the right attitude.  You cannot reverse major problems in a years time.

But sadly, now the work will be even more difficult if we have to endure four years of Obama.

Palin Wins!

Americans aren’t stupid!
Philip in his post acknowleged much of Biden’s stupidity.  Both pundits on ABC and Fox both conclude about eight large factual inaccuracies on his part regarding McCain’s voting record as well as Obama’s.

However; to be fair, we know both sides can mis-characterize history to get jabs in.

But the ideology and intrinsic “I’m with you” appeal is with Palin as it was with Ronald Reagan. Talk about fresh blood, youth, and a breath of fresh air. I believe she should be on top of the ticket.

People who work a 40-hour or more week and most like myself who combats full-time school in pursuit of our Masters Degrees don’t want BIG GOVERNMENT like Obama/Biden taking control of hundreds of billions of additional dollars in the economy now and having the audacity to tell us “we will divide it up this way.”

The Democrats don’t trust us with our own money is what it boils down to.

Big Government Democrats want to get into office and search their big-government hearts to ESTABLISH MATTERS THAT BELONG IN THE PREROGATIVE OF AMERICANS!

If we want a bigger piece of that pie, we’ll use our efforts to work harder.

That’s the America I love. If you are anything but, you need to move to communist China.
