Taking the High Road With Anthony Weiner

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijsUSOyiPaA]

I must admit, I felt a bit giddy when I saw a man I truly detested literally caught with his pants down.  I believe Anthony Weiner is a cocky man who in many ways does not represent the people he allegedly represents.

On the other hand, though I disagree with his positions to the largest degree imaginable and utterly dislike folks like him and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz who spin and lie about important issues like Health Care and Medicare, I believe Weiner is a liberal who believes in his positions and exudes a lot of passion in fighting for them.

I am far from perfect.  So is Anthony Weiner.  So is Sarah Palin.  So is George Bush.  We can go on and on in the search for divine perfection.

Watching Hannity tonight, I found myself rolling my eyes at all these demands for Weiner to resign.  Are we really so perfect as a society that we cannot allow someone the opportunity of learning from a bad choice?  The first step to moving our Democracy back to a place where ideas alone are debated and tested on their merits is getting past these bizarre delusions that we can expect people to be perfect and divine.  It’s never going to happen.

As a proud Palinista, I’ve watched the media vet Sarah Palin up and down and from side to side.  She made a mistake in a bad interview with Katie Couric and her daughter made a bad choice by getting pregnant out of wedlock.  As a conservative, it was frustrating for me to watch an entire media explosion and the vile hatred from the left come at her in these petty ways completely overlooking her success as a public servant to perpetuate smear from everything having to do with her career as a politician, to her marriage, and even the birth of her son.

It is so easy to buy into the sensationalism of it all.  But folks, we’re at a new time in our nation’s history where lies and deceit from the White House are dictating the rest of our lives and our future.

  • We were told that everyone could keep their health care if they liked it, remember?  That was a lie.
  • We were promised that unemployment would not go above 8% if we allowed Obama to squander a trillion dollars.  The current unemployment rate proved, that was a lie!
  • We were promised health care negotiations would be held on CSPAN, that was a lie!
  • Union-leaders with Cadillac plans were given a pass after the nation was promised fair health care reform.  That was a lie!

We have a country destined for greatness on the basis of its founding but headed for failure on the basis of its current leadership.  We must stay on the issues and support the folks we know hold the right convictions and commonsense ideals to turn it all around.

I’d like for Anthony Weiner’s Congressional destiny to be left up to the voters.  In order for our country to remain free, I would hope Anthony Weiner learns from this stupid choice and continues to use the House to argue for positions he supports.

But the next time some liberal starts attacking someone like Sarah Palin or Michele Bachmann for the stupidest and most trivial reasons possible, we need to remind them of how easy it is to take the high road because on the basis of the issues alone, conservatives remain poised at taking this country back and improving the conditions that are affecting all of us.

At the end of the day, this too shall pass.

Don’t Hold Your Breath Waiting for NBC to Correct This (Mitchell Lies about Palin)

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjCqTs741Ss]

Sarah Palin is driving the left insane again.

Andrea Mitchell, yesterday, interviewed a member of the Rolling Thunder organization who had stated Sarah Palin was not invited to the event on Sunday.

Thanks to a conservative-blogger from Hot-Air who phoned the organization and spoke with Rolling-Thunder spokesperson, Christine Colborne, it turns out Palin WAS invited by the organization and had accepted the invitation too late for them to formally inform all of their members.

I will await Andrea Mitchell to correct her false and misleading segment and to apologize for sloppy journalism that doesn’t require conservative bloggers to take the steps she refused to take.

WHCD Suprisingly Mum on Palin

After watching the White House Correspondents Dinner tonight and listening to the speeches of President Obama and comedian Seth Meyers (a supporter of Mr. Obama), I am left wondering if Donald Trump was a liberal-plant to remove the media’s fixation of Sarah Palin.

The president and Seth Meyers combined must have spent a good three-four minutes on poking fun at Donald Trump as Trump sat and appeared none-too-pleased.  The president also casually mentioned a handful of possible GOP candidates including Tim Pawlenty (snore), Mitt Romney (snore), and Michelle Bachmann.  The president himself mentioned nothing of Sarah Palin.  This is very stunning considering Palin has been the most vocal on attacking the president over his policies (the ones the media claim everyone should be focused on) and she’s probably received at least 90% of the media’s coverage over the last two years in comparison to that of Pawlenty or someone like Romney.

This has me wondering just what kind of Palin-chatter has been happening inside of the White House.  While the MSM has some Americans convinced that they’d love nothing more than for Palin to win the Republican nomination for President, it seems almost strategic on the part of the president to mention nothing of her in his round of jokes tonight.

Just last night in an interview with Bret Baier, Palin continued her harsh criticism of the president by pointing out gas prices increasing by 67% since he’s been president.  She also segued into her experience as Governor of Alaska explaining how she took on the oil companies and how she believed lower tax rates with tough policies against large corporations and closing loopholes would be a great commonsense approach to address many of these issues.  Finally, she suggested Obama has no idea what he is doing with regard to energy and how ramping up domestic production of our energy here at home by drilling — as opposed to asking other countries to do it for us — would be a solid step to better times.

So while Donald Trump is out dropping F-Bombs at speeches in Nevada and setting himself up suspiciously under the name “republican” to further explore an issue dismissed by most conservatives months ago (a rumor which began with the Hillary Clinton campaign), we still have a savvy potential candidate making the case for some of the commonsense ideals mentioned above.

“Life Must Go On As Usual”

It’s hard to admit making a mistake, but I owe the regular visitors of this website; along with my fellow contributors here, an apology.

The same day Congresswoman Giffords was shot, I reacted badly to the first article written by the AP on the story.  The article, which I linked to on my post where I specifically blamed the left, was written about 30 minutes after the tragedy.  This early on they were already linking Sarah Palin and the tea party to it.  In all honesty, my post was a reaction to that. (Along with a Facebook page I had found that has since been deleted portraying Loughner as a liberal).

As much as I disagree with liberals on pretty much everything, it was wrong for me to link the violent behavior of one idiot to an entire political party.  What I did was no better than what liberals (some of them) were doing to Sarah Palin.  As such, I shall remember that not everyone on the left is clinically insane and I apologize to Mel, Mark, Chris, and Philip (along with our regular visitors) who have to “share” this space with me.

That being said, I’d like to move forward with another aspect of how our country is prematurely responding to this tragedy.

Aside from Sheriff Dumbnik’s running around and blaming everyone on the right; taking the attention away from him and the Police Department there in Tucson who had been getting warnings about Jared Loughner for the past three years, I have a huge problem with shutting down Congress over this.

It sends the wrong message.

On October 12, 1984, Margaret Thatcher was headlining the annual conservative conference in Brighton.  While the workaholic Iron Lady was preparing documents at 2 a.m. for business at the conference the next day, a bomb went off in the hotel.  Luckily, Margaret Thatcher and her husband had been moved to another room earlier in the day.  Nevertheless, many were killed and injured.  Mrs. Thatcher was immediately treated and examined for light injuries sustained and went to the police station.

Almost immediately, the media and others speculated whether or not the conference would remain scheduled.  Upon exiting the police station, Lady Thatcher made her first statement to the media:

You hear about these atrocities, these bombs, you never expect them to happen to you.  But life must go on, as usual.

She also added that her conference would not be cancelled and would continue to go on “as usual” she said sternly.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXTJ6g3no5M&feature=related]

The next day with very little sleep, Mrs. Thatcher kept her committment and arrived to the conference.  She not only defied the wishes of the bomber, she also showed up on time and said:

The fact that we are gathered here today, shocked but composed and determined, is a sign not only that this attack has failed but that all attempts to destroy democracy by terrorism will fail.

Lady Thatcher wasn’t showing cruelty to the victims who lost their lives.  As a leader of a nation, she had to resume business as usual to let the enemies of civilization and freedom know that she and her people in majority were in control and their rights to freedom and political process would not end.

Similarly, as a political leader, John Boehner made a very decent and honorable statement in honor of Congresswoman Giffords.  Now, members of the media at the Washington Post are questioning his sincerity because he did not cry when he made the statement and also thought it was wrong for him to point out the fact that public servants of all levels were and always will be at some risk, but it was no reason to be deterred from doing their jobs.

Perhaps someone should tell the writer, Courtland Milloy, that we are supposed to learning a lesson about political rhetoric from this.

To reassure you, the shooting made us all sad, Mr. Milloy.  But on Saturday, I had to stay at my office anyway.  I had to get our income tax software ready for our filing season.  I had to make sure my files were cleaned out ready to be filled with new paperwork.  I had to organize my desk and clean out my drawers.  Then on Sunday, I had to go back.  Monday, I had to work and meet with clients.  Today, I had to go to a tax seminar to further prepare for my work that is vastly approaching.

Similarly, Congress should not be shutting down over this.  The best way to let lunatics like Loughner know that the only thing their potential dangerous violence is going to get them is a one-way ticket to the electric chair is to not allow our daily lives to be changed.  The world keeps on turning and “life must go on as usual.”

Joy Behar and other liberals — obviously ignoring Sheriff Dumbnik’s warning of political rhetoric — responded to Boehner by calling him “Boner” (the same party who created the term “teabagger”) — and somehow turning his promise to the people who elected the new Congress that they would indeed proceed with their promise to begin doing what we sent them there to do into an act of hate.  It makes you wonder who decides what political rhetoric is.  It also makes you wonder what “hate” is.

I have faith in the American people that they understand the bigger picture.  Boehner reserves his tears for moments of triumph.  When we overcome obstacles and tragedies and evils and plow through it in a way that only American exceptionalism can guarantee.

It seems to me that the people blaming Sarah Palin, criticizing Boehner, and everyone else on the right are the ones spreading the hate now.  It also seems to me that they reserve their tears in a sad effort to exploit tragedies to argue for bigger government and more infringements on our freedoms and liberties.

Americans are learning and we won’t forget.  But one thing remains true: “life must go on, as usual!”

Evidence of a Potential Palin Landslide in 2012

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIJbfCk_NxA]

The liberals have insisted on obsessing of the possibility that in November of 2012, they could wake up in the morning with a new America: one ready to move forward with President-elect, Sarah Palin.

It’s no secret, I am a massive Palin supporter.  She’s energetic.  She electrifies the ones who need inspiration to mobilize, turning their silence into endless wells of energy.  If that isn’t enough, she continues to infuriate all the right people, too.

Just yesterday, a questionable Bloomberg poll was released which suggested that Barack Obama would trounce Sarah Palin in a national election.  It placed Obama getting 51% of the vote with Palin getting 35% respectively.

Of course, every major news outlet has jumped on it including CBS and USAToday

The MSM is so terrified of Sarah Palin just as they were terrified of Ronald Reagan.  In fact, an article released by the NY Times in January of 1979, with numbers from a GALLUP poll stated the following:

WASHINGTON, Jan. 20–President Carter would easily defeat either former Gov. Ronald Reagan of California or former President Gerald R. Ford if the election were held today, according to the Gallup Poll.

But something else is coming into play here.  This is just as much a campaign to discourage Republicans from electing true conservatives as it is discouraging Americans from providing support to Sarah Palin.

I would like to make it clear.  While I am focusing on 2010’s midterms (as Palin allegedly is), I am watching the media more closely this time.  I will not personally settle for another McCain.

Hucakabee is boring who also compared illegal immigration to slavery.

Romney is boring who passed his own state version of Obamacare.

Newt Gingrich is brilliant but lacks the energy which Palin is passing around to the grassroots who decide elections.  In other words, people are more likely to be energized to come out and vote in her case.

The only other person I would consider at this point would be Chris Christie.

After a day of obessing about the poll mentioned here, Chris Matthews has a hissy fit when conservative strategist, Ron Christie, says that Palin is absolutely qualified to be President, especially considering what we have now.

The video is posted above.

Palin Derangement Syndrome Leads to DWTS “BooGate”

As everyone knows, Bristol Palin has been dancing and doing very well on Dancing With the Stars.  To support her, Sarah has been sitting in the front row for the past couple of episodes.

After last night’s episode, the media went wild.  After Jennifer Grey’s performance, the judges gave their scores.  Then, in the backroom as Grey and her partner were being interviewed, you heard a suspicious massive loud booing coming from the ballroom — and immediately, the camera went right to the host sitting and talking with Sarah Palin.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjI3Vuv4vB8]

Now, it is important to watch both videos, because you’re not going to get the full rebuttal from the MSM.  Why would the MSM waste their time correcting the assertion that Palin was booed?  How about the record number of mainstream outlets and liberal blogs who enthusiastically entertained it:

And there is much more fun!  Tonight, DWTS was forced to clarify what the booing was truly all about: the judges’ scores for Jennifer Grey; who did a wonderful job, considering all she had been through.  And with the clarification, comes the real video which revealed the real truth:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXi_qTWxxXA]

So why are liberals this desperate to mischaracterize boos from an audience (known to boo at the judges all the time) which leads the media to massively over-report the mistruth?

I think liberal-writer Jay Anderson over at BlackVoices says it best:

Sarah Palin scares me.

If you realllllly want to have a good time, click on one of the links above and look for one of the following:

A.) Liberal Silence

B.) Liberal Denial (I.E. the neocons over at ABC were forced to do it by Palin)

The beauty and comfort for conservatives and Palin-lovers alike lies in Jay Anderson’s remarks above (though the guts of his piece is the usual left-wing blather we get on Sarah).  They are so deranged over Palin, they actually find comfort that a small studio audience in the middle of Hollywood possibly booed her and made such a big deal about it.

No other conservative has stirred up this much derangement.

What began as a funny post here (making fun of moonbats is always my favorite hobby) quickly turns into a serious point when you consider all of the Tea Party candidates she has backed and all the RINOs she’s been instrumental in tossing out of Congress.

Folks, if you ever doubted the power of Palin, I strongly urge you to reconsider.

Liberals Getting Sloppier (Yes, it’s possible!)

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4gL2WEnjVY&feature=email]

The biggest hindrance to Democracy is untruth.  Especially when we are supposed to be able to rely on human decency and our media for information and objective opinion.  If liberals weren’t so sloppy at the lies they tell and tricks they pull, they could pose a real danger to our freedom.

The first example involved a “man” by the name of David Weigel who showed up at a political event held for Kentucky.  He posed as a racist Republican who was a supporter of Rand Paul.  But when the cameramen got word of his trick from the other side (members supporting the liberal actually bragged about what he was doing), the cameraman had a conversation with him both as a Rand Paul supporter and then caught him marching and chanting for the liberal later on that day.

With so much emphasis liberals have placed on the Tea Party (not to mention the NAACP), you would think this story would show up somewhere on CNN.  Yes, I know millions of Americans are out of work, losing their homes, and Michelle is enjoying one heck of a taxpayer-funded getaway to Spain, but you’d think after all that has happened with regard to the Tea Party, they’d have time for such raw footage.

Rick Sanchez of CNN has the time to entertain a piece of “raw” video on Sarah Palin which was brought to light by an Alaskan blogger who has been obsessed with the Governor for the past three years.

The video — which Palin herself has responded to on Facebook today — depicts Palin “rolling her eyes” at a “teacher” by the name of Kathleen Gustafson.  The “teacher” turned out to be a “theater tech” and sits on the Board of Directors of the town’s local “Family Planning Clinic.”

It’s funny knowing this and then listen to her begin by telling Palin she swore on her “precious Bible” to serve the state then implied that Palin left for personal gain.  If she’s a board-member of a Family Planning Clinic and uses the Bible in such an angry context, I find it hard to believe Ms. Gustafson was a Palin supporter to begin with.

Then take into consideration that Gustafson lives in the same town of Homer, Alaska as Shannyn Moore does.  Shannyn Moore is President of the Palin Derangement Syndrome Society.  For years, she’s “investigated” the Governor (falsely said Palin was under investigation by the FBI and cried victim when Palin’s attorney threatened lawsuit for it) and has entertained Levi Johnston.  We all know by now how credible he turned out to be.

C’mon liberals!  Are we really supposed to believe that this woman — an unhinged lefty — was standing up and holding a sign that said “Worst Governor Ever!” and happened to be accompanied by her own cameraman and just happens to live in the same town as Shannyn Moore (population of Homer is just over 5,000) all by coincidence?

Immediately Shannyn Moore posted two articles on this, uploaded the video to youtube, copied and pasted her article to the Huffington Post (which drew over 10,000 comments from other lefties suffering from Palin Derangement Syndrome) and sent it to CNN.

This is the same woman who appeared on “Countdown” with Keith Olbermann where she was introduced to his regular 12 viewers.

The indignant “teacher” is not very impressive.  It is a well-documented fact that Palin-haters in Alaska filed numerous ethics violations costing taxpayers $2M and Palin $500K in defense fees.  She resigned to dis-empower them and give Alaska a Governor who could devote the time to them without those interruptions.  Somehow the “teacher” is unable to comprehend this and yet she wants us to believe that parents trust her with guiding their children?

This was Shannyn Moore’s weakest attempt at investigative blogging as it took conservative bloggers about three minutes to solve this.  The homely “Girl from Homer” is getting desperate.

CNN should report these developments but I won’t hold my breath.

***Update***

As noted by “jerry” who I also believe is posing as “robert” on other conservative blogs, Gustafson does work for a school.  Though the title is “theater tech” as I stated before (hardly the reading-writing-arithmetic type).  And “jerry” denies Ms. Gustafson being President of the local family planning facility but does acknowledge she sits on the board.

Since Shannyn Moore fought so hard for her right to report rumors when she was going around telling others that Palin was being investigated by the FBI, I have appropriately changed the paragraphs which questioned Gustafson’s teaching credentials.

Lastly, she injected herself into the public arena by protesting and certainly should be subjected to the same scrutiny and specificity as Joe-the-Plumber was.

The Political Power of Networking Sites

Thank you, Facebook!

Thank you, Twitter!

Forget Palin-for-President.  She’s making a lot of money (more than she would as President) and is having a ball being an unelected American endorsing candidates with her own new form of power, much of which has been propelled by Facebook and Twitter.

Rand Paul won in a landslide after her endorsement.

Susana Martinez won after her endorsement.

And the few who have lost were in heavy blue states (or tainted with RINOs) and still lost only by a couple of numbers.

Obama’s endorsements on the other hand = a guaranteed loss.  In fact, if conservatives wanted to be unfair to their opponents this year, they could all pay Obama to campaign and endorse them.

Palin is still growing a massive following and people just love her for the reactions she gets out of liberals.

There is much to be said for Facebook and Twitter with regard to fueling her messages which immediately get reprinted on every major news outlet across this great land.

Palin was right.  With networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, conservatives are getting their messages out.  Even within my circle of personal friends on Facebook, the ones who never cared about politics before are swinging closer and closer to the right and inheriting wisdom by fact-checking one of my rants.

Even some of my Facebooking left-wingers are vowing to never vote for liberals again.

Because of Facebook, we are able to hold constant conversations and continue to inform folks — even if they don’t sign on looking for it.

As such, I firmly believe that Facebook and Twitter used by powerful people like Sarah Palin are proving to surpass the power of the major media outlets.

Take the Helen Thomas scandal for example.  Days ago, Mel here at gayconservative was the first to my world to write on Helen Thomas’s boneheaded remarks in which she suggested Jews go back “home” to Poland or Germany (where they were gassed in masses years ago).  Of course, there was no significant coverage of this — at least not to the point where anything was done about it –particularly since these comments were blatant leaving absolutely no room for excuses or characterizations of misspoken words and botched sentences.

This morning, after Palin’s Twitter, and after the MSM’s reporting of Palin’s Twitter, Nine Speakers, Inc. has fired Helen Thomas from the list of speakers.  As such, an upcoming speech of hers was cancelled.

Amazing!  The first phase of holding the media responsible and sending a message to all journalists: if you want to keep your jobs, quit being biased idiots!

And if that isn’t proof enough, have a look at the liberals’ comments on a liberal website.  They really make it all worth it:

We all hate Sarah Palin sooo much! The other day she said she liked strawberry ice cream…I mean, it HAD been my favorite flavor but now I’ll never eat it again…becuz Palin’s political ideas are….slutty stewardess ideas, yeah that’s it. It’s so cool to hate her along with you guys, hating her is what makes me (and us) so EXTRA cool!

Am I a Racist?

Be honest!

In a discussion with a liberal moonbat earlier, I unveiled for him the obvious list of Obambi-related failures.  I also reminded him that a lot of us were able to determine this before he was elected as he had no experience at anything….

I called him “Obama-the-monkey” as the leader to all the same monkeys (moonbats) who walked into a voting booth and voted for this disastrous man to lead our country; thereby, disqualifying them from having any say whatsoever on who our next president should be.

He got mad, avoided the substance, and called me a “racist.”
